We interviewed customers, now what? How do we draw actionable insights? Should we keep running interviews? When do we stop? What should we build?
Once you’ve started doing interviews, this interactive online workshop will teach you how to make sense of the sometimes confusing qualitative data. Qualitative data can be messy and sometimes customer discovery can feel less useful that simply building something and getting direct feedback on a product.
By debriefing customer discovery interviews, you will better understand your customer needs, goals, pains, and aspirations in order to build the right product.
This workshop will focus on how to debrief interviews, update your interview guides, personas, and other material and decide on next steps. In some cases, you may want to continue doing more interviews, in other cases, you may want to start selling. But if the team doesn’t agree on the meaning of the interviews, then there is no progress.
This workshop will teach you how to maximize the amount you learn about your customers for the time you spend talking directly with them.
This is not a webinar! This is a practical, hands on workshop that requires you to have already run real Customer Discovery Interviews on your project. You will interact with the facilitator and the other attendees to run debriefing exercises. You will also receive individual feedback on your pre-work and you are expected to do some preliminary work to debrief the interviews.
It is strongly advised that you attend with a real project, but if you don’t have one, we will provide an example project you can work on.
Before the live session, you’ll have access to a few articles, a video, some preparation work, and a short quiz to help set the context for the working session and make sure we can get right to the exercises.
You will receive individual feedback on the pre-work you submit.
In this 2 hour session, we’ll cover multiple methods for debriefing interviews and deciding on next steps. We’ll debrief our notes, prioritize our insights, and set specific tasks to work on after the workshop. Most importantly, we’ll run a retrospective on how we performed and how we can improve our ability to generate insights faster and more effectively in the future.
You will leave the workshop ready to continue interviewing and feel confident that your interviews are resulting in project progress. You will leave with a next step defined, peer feedback, and plenty of practice from the live exercises.
